Heart work is simply a process of identifying inner-conflicts in your heart and eliminating it, so you are free to move forward. Probably the biggest conflict we tend to face as women is not forgiving someone for the pain they have caused. It can be a huge stumbling block that can imprison a person for years, if not dealt with right away. It’s often said that forgiveness is not for the person that hurt you, but it’s to release yourself from the burden of someone else’s sin against you. That is very true, but I’d like to take that truth even further. Forgiveness is not only for you, but it’s also for the people that God wants to use you to bless. Your specific God-assignment may be about the heart-wrenching issue you’re dealing with, but you have to let Him heal your heart first before you can use your mess as your ministry. If you are still caught up in past issues, no matter how hard you try; you will move forward in a very limited capacity. You end up not only stalling your future, but also the future of those that are assigned to you and are in need of your gifts and talents. Don’t put off tomorrow what needs to be done today for your sake and for the future of others that are waiting for you.
That is why spending time with God everyday is crucial to clearing your heart of all clutter so you can move full steam ahead in your purpose. If someone hurt you in anyway, nip it in the bud right away by forgiving him or her. Seek God’s help in strengthening you throughout the process of healing your heart because you can’t do it on your own, especially if your pain was caused by a tragic situation. Exchange your ashes for His beauty on a daily basis, so your heart remains in a healthy condition and in a place where you are completely free to be a blessing to those you are meant to serve.
