Everyone has the potential to accomplish great feats in life. I would even dare to say that most people desire to live out their dreams and store them to memory. However, studies have revealed that less than 10% of the population actually takes time out to create goals and write them down on paper (or digital device). A psychology professor from Dominican University in California, Dr. Gail Matthews, discovered that you are 42% more likely to achieve your goals after writing them down.
The question begs to ask, if most people desire to live better, why do they neglect to write down their goals, in order to bring their dreams to fruition? Well, writing down goals holds you accountable for what you said you want to do. It also seals your commitment to that goal, implicitly requiring you to follow through with those goals, even when the road gets tough during your journey. So if you find yourself hesitating to write down your goals, ask yourself, "Am I really committed to achieving this goal and am I willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen?" Your answer will lead you to the next step. Hopefully, that next step is to take the time to create your goals and write them down, not to memory, but on paper.
Success always begins with you. I encourage you to start today.
