The word "value" can be applied in two different ways when it comes to business versus an individual. In business, adding value is used to improve its quality and to increase revenue by offering better products or services to its customers. In contrast, an individual's value has already been established and settled before they were born. "Before I formed you in the belly I knew you and before you came out the womb, I set you apart..." (Jeremiah 1:5). In other words, your value is not performance-based. Regardless of your imperfections, you are valuable because you were created to bear the image of God. You are a reflection of the Creator's heart, so you are valuable without having to lift a finger. See yourself as such, regardless of your flaws and failures.
Unfortunately, society links false ideas to personal value. The meaning of value, as it applies to the world of business, is mistakenly applied to women. Contrary to popular belief, your worth is not based on your body type, the clothes you wear, the length of your hair, your financial status, or the car you drive. You are valuable just as you are, imperfections and all! When you recognize your own value, instead of trying to measure up to erroneous meanings of value by pursuing superficial qualities, you are grounded in knowing who you are, whose you are, and what you can accomplish. Ladies, you are the crown of all creation. You have been gifted with the qualities that reflect God's glory and His beauty. Through your Creator, you can do the impossible. You are valuable...just as you are!
