Resiliency

Resiliency is not just about bouncing back from a challenge, but it’s also persevering while you are in the middle of your storm. It’s having the resolve to remain patient as you courageously push through, knowing that the storm will eventually come to an end and understanding that you have to just outlast it. It’s always easier said than done, of course, but establishing your resolve to endure through your challenges, whether it’s financial, health, marriage, the loss of a loved one or something else, requires the courage to remain patient throughout the process.

You can rest in God with confidence in knowing that He’s got you covered, no matter what you encounter. Life’s challenges can leave you feeling empty to the point that you have nothing to pour into others and leave you wondering if you have what it takes to get through the fight you’re facing. After you’ve fought, prayed and exhausted every resource to no avail, then it is time to hand it all over to God because you’ve come to the end of yourself.

In the middle of storms, resiliency requires you to understand that God will divinely grace you with the strength you need to continue the journey while still maintaining your inner joy. It doesn’t mean you’re walking around with a smile on your face all day, but it does mean that you can confidently know that your world is not coming to an end. You know that God will eventually use what you’ve gone through as a way to minister to someone else. Storms will mature and refine you, just as heat is applied to gold, to purge it from its impurities so its beauty can be seen by all.

As you endure through trials, not only should you care for your spiritual health, but you must also recharge with the stamina you need to carry out your daily routines. Exercising, eating healthy and doing things you enjoy can help you to remain productive and it can improve your overall wellness. Staying fully engaged with life is essential to maintaining your spiritual, emotional and physical well-being.
